If a student cannot make it to the morning review session they are welcome to come in during Chatt time, they just need to come get a pass ahead of time so that their Chatt Time teacher will dismiss them. My name is Michael Crooks and I will be your students Economics teacher this semester. What I like to do each week is to post to this blog to keep you up to date with what we are doing in class each week. I will let you know of any major assignments are due that week as well as any tests that are coming up in that week. I will stress to students today that if they are having any problems in the class to come and see me before school to ask me any questions they might have. I am available almost every morning starting at 7:40. I will post all of my assignments, lecture notes, study guides, review games, and review videos on my website crookschatt.weebly.com this way if any student misses a day or is unsure of any material they have a single site where they can find everything. This week in class we will be covering chapter one, which emphasizes scarcity and opportunity cost. We will be looking at how people go about making decisions. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with each of you this semester, and again if you have any questions please let me know. Thanks and have a wonderful week.
This week in AP Human Geography students will be reviewing for then taking their 1st semester final/midterm. Each class will take their final on a different day and time. 4th Period will take the exam on Thursday from 8:20-10:10, 6th Period will take their exam Wednesday from 10:25-12:15, and 7th Period will take their exam on Friday from 10:25 to 12:15. I have also posted on the MYAP website 3 sample multiple choice question sets to help students prepare for the types of questions they will see on the Midterm. Finally I would recommend students use the iScore5 app (there is a link on my website or find it in the app store) this app provides students with sample multiple choice questions and immediate feedback if they happen to miss a question. I will also be available every morning this week if any student needs any extra review. If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a wonderful holiday break.

Students will also be updating their stocks for the final time to simulate the selling of their shares to see if they made or lost money for the semester. Finally during our final exam window students will be completing an evaluation on myself to help me determine what i need to improve on for the next class. I just want to take a second to thank all off you for all your help this year, I could not be happier with all of our results from this year. Thank you all again so much, and I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday break.

We have been reviewing for over a week and I feel the students are very prepared for the test. I would have them look over their projects tonight, their flash cards, and also my website has lots of review games and videos that they can review. Following the EOC students will be participating in a film study over the films "Catch me if you Can" and "The Founder" I have sent home a permission slip for these films with the students today, please sign it and have your student return it so that they may participate. If you do not want your student to watch these films an alternative assignment will be provided. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful week
