This week in AP Human Geography students will be learning about how to answer Free Response Questions for the AP Test as well as start our discussion on Migration. Students will receive a reading guide for this next chapter that I highly encourage all students to complete. Students will also receive their key terms sheet for this chapter on Monday. at some point this week students will have their first AP FRQ to complete. If your student needs any extra help I will be available every morning this week. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. This week in Economics students will be starting their Unit on Macroeconomics. We will be discussing the concepts of GDP, Unemployment, Inflation, and the construction of the Business Cycle. Students will be relating these concepts to not only the United States but other countries as well. If your student needs to come in for any extra help I am available every morning this week. This week in AP Human Geography students will be finishing chapter 2. We will be testing over chapter 2 this Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday of this week students will be learning about how to write an AP Free Response Question. I will be available before school everyday if anyone needs to come in for extra help or still needs remediation from Unit 1.
This week in Economics students will be covering Unit 4 which includes the different types of business organizations, and the different forms of market structures. This unit is much smaller than unit 3 and because so we will be testing over unit 4 this Friday. This means that the vocabulary for chapters 3 and 7 is also due this Friday. I will be available for before school help everyday this week if any student needs to come in for remediation or help.
This week in AP Human Geography students will be working with Population Pyramids and learning about the Demographic Transition Model. In our online readings students should finish reading Key Issues 2,3, and 4. Also this week students will be taking their Map Quiz over South America. We will likely be testing over Chapter 2 the beginning of next week. If anyone needs any additional help or review I am available every morning this week except for Tuesday.
This week in Economics students will be finishing up Supply and Demand. On Monday and Tuesday we will be practicing shifting supply and demand as well as covering the concepts of Surpluses and Shortages. We will be testing over Unit 3 this Thursday and Friday. I will be available for review help in the mornings every day but Tuesday. If anyone needs any extra review please come and see me.
This week in AP Human Geography students will begin their next chapter which will cover Population. Students will be examining how concepts such as population density, growth rates, and death rates impact the world around them. Students will also be going over their Unit one test this Tuesday. This week students should be reading their online reading assignments and working on their reading guides. Students will also be learning the countries of South America and will be quizzed over these on Friday. I will be available every day before school starting at 7:30 in anyone needs any extra help, review, or remediation.
This week in Economics students will be working on Demand and Supply. This week we will be covering the different laws for each, the graphs of each, and the different ways to shift each of the curves. Students will be doing multiple practice sheets as well as working on drawing graphs in class. Students should also be working on their Unit 3 vocabulary terms if they have not finished them yet. If anyone needs any extra help I will be available every morning this week starting at 7:30, please do not hesitate to come in to get a little more explanation or review.
