This week in AP Human Geography students will be starting Unit 5 which covers agriculture and rural land use. We will be studying such topics as the different types of agricultural techniques, why agriculture is so important on the global scale, and how the agriculture field has changed over time. Throughout this unit students will be working on a variety of projects, from growing tomatoes in our new greenhouse (hopefully) to creating a cooking show pilot to help illustrate the different aspects of agriculture will be discussing. Students will be reading from both their online textbook as well as their AMSCO review book this week. I post the page numbers on my board everyday so students can make sure they are in the right place each night. If any student needs any extra help or needs to come in to do recovery I will be available every morning this week except for Wednesday. If your student cannot make it in the morning I am also available during Chatt time, students just need to come and get a pass from me prior to arriving. If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

This week in AP Human Geography students will be finishing chapter 8 which covers political geography. We will be testing over chapter 8 this Thursday and Friday. Students will be turning in their key terms for chapter 8 this Thursday. Students have lots of tools available to them to help them study for the test. On my website there are review videos, a kahoot, a quizlet, and copies of all the notes we have taken this chapter. On the MY AP website I also created three practice sets of multiple choice questions to help students prepare for the types of questions they will see on this weeks test, please check with your student to see if they are attempting these questions. Finally students received a hard copy of a study guide for this chapter which should help guide their review. If your student wants any extra help reviewing I am available every morning this week starting at 7:40 and will also be available during chatt time if they want to come in. If anyone has any other questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
