This week in Economics students will be working on Unit 5, which looks at the different ways we can measure how our overall Economy is doing. This week specifically we will be looking at the Business cycle, Unemployment, and Inflation. Students will also be reviewing content from previous chapters in order to help prepare them for the EOC which will be the last week in April. If any student needs any extra help with any of the content I will be available every morning in my room starting at 7:30. This week in AP Human Geography students will be testing over Unit 5. We will be testing on Thursday and Friday of this week. Also due this week are the Key Terms for Unit 5, as well as the Reading Guide for Unit 5 if you were required to complete it. Students should also be working on their Cooking Show Projects which are due March 8th. If anyone needs any extra help preparing for the test, please come by in the morning, I will be available starting at 7:30 every day this week. This week in Economics students will be testing over Unit 4 and beginning Unit 5. On Wednesday students will be taking the Unit 4 test. Please remind students to bring their textbook with them to class on Wednesday because they will be able to use their book on the test. This week we will also begin our discussion of Macroeconomics and look at how the United States plays a role in the world economy. This week in AP Human Geography students will be finishing up their discussions on Unit 5 Agriculture. We will be learning about where different agricultural products are grown both worldwide and in relation to city centers. Students will also have a quiz this week over the different types of Commercial and Subsistence agricultures and what climates they are found in. This week in Economics students will be working on Unit 4 which covers the different types of business organizations as well as the different forms of Market Structures. We should be able to finish all of the content in Unit 4 this week, so my plan is for students to have an open book test next Wednesday. I still would recommend that students be looking over their notes a little bit over the long weekend. I will also be available every morning this week if any student wants to come in for review, or work on test corrections from the Unit 3 test. This week in AP Human Geography we will be continuing our look at Agriculture and Rural Land use. We will be covering the different types of Subsistence and Commercial Farming and looking at the advantages and disadvantages of each. Students will be reading several articles regarding agriculture ranging from GMO research to the role of women in agriculture.
